Simple Minds Ticket + Hotel packages, Wembley Arena + Hotel, London
One of the most successful bands of their generation; Simple Minds will take a break from the preparations of their new album to celebrate their 30th Anniversary with a series of six rare UK concerts during November and December.
The concerts celebrates 30 glorious years dating back to the first time Simple Minds played their very first concert on January 17th at the Satellite City Club in Glasgow, as the support act to Steel Pulse.
Simple Minds will perform for the first time the entirety of their multi-million selling 1982 album ‘New Gold Dream’ featuring the hits Promised You a Miracle, Glittering Prize, and Someone, Somewhere (In Summertime).
The second half of the concert will see the band perform some of their best known songs from their classic albums staring off with ‘Life in a Day’ (1979), ‘Reel To Reel Cacophony’ (1979), ‘Empires & Dance’ (1980), right up to their groundbreaking first album with Virgin, ‘Sons & Fascination’ (1980) featuring the hit Love Song.
The band will also highlight songs from the album ‘Sparkle in the Rain’ (1984) that includes the hits Waterfront and Up On The Catwalk, as well as the U.S. No.1 hit single Don’t You (Forget About Me) (1985), plus the benchmark album ‘Once Upon A Time’ (1985) featuring the massive global anthem Alive and Kicking.
But that’s not all. The band will also perform songs like Belfast Child from 1989’s ‘Street Fighting Years’ right up to 2005’s return-to-form album ‘Black & White 050505’ featuring the songs Home and Stranger.
Incredibly, Simple Minds have scored over twenty Top 20 hits in a career spanning nearly three decades. They have sold over 35 million records, had five number one albums, a No. 1 single in America - plus three American top ten singles and been Voted Q magazine’s World’s Best Live Act.
Throughout their illustrious 30-year career in music, Simple Minds have embarked on countless sold out stadium tours including headlining three times at Wembley stadium. They have influenced bands as diverse as current favourites Bloc Party, Muse, as well as Moby, Manic Street Preachers and the Klaxons along the way.
“We are delighted to announce these six rare UK concerts,” says lead singer and founding member, Jim Kerr. “The concerts will reflect our entire musical journey from day one to the current phase of creativity and without doubt will also conjure up all the energy, atmosphere and passion that for many is symbolic of Simple Minds shows over the last 30 years.”

American singer and guitarist Bishop has been nominated for two Grammys and an Oscar. His major hits include On and On, Save It for a Rainy Day, Everybody Needs Love, Seperate Lives and It Might Be You, the theme from the movie Tootsie. As well as writing and singing on numerous film scores, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Barbra Streisand, Art Garfunkel, Kenny Loggins, Johnny Mathis, Phoebe Snow, David Crosby and The Four Tops have all recorded songs penned by Bish.
Jonny O'Connell was half of the well-known Liverpool band Groundpig and is now making a name for himself as a popular singer/songwriter.

Mari Wilson first arrived on the scene in the early eighties with her skyscraper beehive hairdo, bizarre sense of fashion and fully choreographed twelve piece band The Wilsations! Mari's LIVE shows werespoken about as an event - pure entertainment.
In 1982 Mari's records began entering the charts and she soon had six hit singles, the biggest being 'Just What I've Always Wanted' and 'Cry Me A River', both taken from her album 'Showpeople'.In the mid-eighties after constant touring of the UK, Europe and the United States, Mari reduced the size of her band (and her hairdo!) changing direction with a jazz quartet. Playing venues such as Ronnie Scotts and the Royal Festival Hall (supporting the legendary Stan Getz), jazz festivals alongside BB King and Ray Charles, Mari has continued to build her reputation as a great live performer.
Mari has also appeared in musical theatre, playing Nickie Pignatelli in Phil Willmott's production of 'Sweet Charity', Annabel in the black comedy, The 'Chainsaw Manicure' and Dusty Springfield in 'DustyThe Musical' which toured number one venues throughtout the UK for seven months in 2000.
In 2001 Mari's last album 'The Rhythm Romance' was repackaged and re-released by Sanctuary Records. Other work has included a Sunday show on GLR and singing the theme tune to various TV shows including the highly successful 'Coupling', performing the song 'Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps'. There is also the continuing collaboration with Barb Jungr and Clare Martin in the outrageously camp show, 'Girltalk', which is constantly touring. Carmina Burana concert tickets, The O2 Arena, London
Franz Abraham’s production of Carmina Burana was first launched in 1995 and has wowed audiences since, including a performance on Copacabana beach in Rio to an audience of 100,000 people.
Abraham commented on his production coming to London: “The British public will never have experienced anything like this production of Carmina Burana. The breathtaking set, dramatic performances from both a world-class orchestra and choir, along with first class actors and dancers will leave many open mouthed. I have enjoyed seeing people moved by Carmina Burana across the world and it is only right that it is now experienced by a UK audience.”

Founded by Franz Abraham in 1986, ART-CONCERTS is currently regarded as Germany's most innovative and one of its most successful production and event-organising agencies.
The Idea: To present music in new, lively contexts and to create music-events for thousands of people are the challenging tasks which ART-CONCERTS have taken upon itself. To burst old boundaries, creatively connect musical worlds and create new experiential spaces: concepts like these characterize the spirit that change visions into reality.
The enterprise's ambitious philosophy was first translated into reality on a large scale during the "ART PROJECT" festival. The concept of this festival involved inviting selected representatives of the most important musical genres to present themselves and their music during the "ART PROJECT" festival. Jazz and classical, rock and avant-garde united as mutually inspiring expressive forms of music in a fruitful dialogue with one another. The idea and its realization were warmly welcomed on the international scene, e.g. in Copenhagen in 1992 and in Munich in 1996.
Since its founding, ART-CONCERTS has organized hundreds of individual concerts and tours in Germany and throughout Europe featuring outstanding artists in all musical genres. MICHAEL FEINSTEIN, one of the premiere interpreters of American popular song. He started playing the piano by ear when he was five, began performing as a teenager, playing at weddings and parties before moving to Los Angeles when he was 20. He was introduced to Ira Gershwin and became his musical assistant. Liza Minelli discovered him and helped sponsor his Broadway debut ISIN’T IT ROMANTIC.
Through his live performances, recordings, film and television appearances, and his song-writing, Feinstein has become an important musical force during the past 15years and co-owns the most successful nightclub in New York City, Feinstein’s At The Regency. Since the Autumn of 1993, Al Martino's song's have flooded the radio and television airwaves in Germany, and he is consistently selling out concerts throughout the continent.
Al Martino made his singing debut 50 years ago in Philadelphia with the song HERE IN MY HEART. The title instantaneously sold over one million copies. With this ballad, Mr Martino became the first American Artist to hit number one in the British "single" charts during 1952, consequently putting him into the Guiness World Records.
For over four decades, Martino has continued to deliver songs to the public in his own inimitable style.
