In the first half, expect Cathy’s writing in film, theatre and song performed by actors who have been integral to the growth and reputation of this unique organisation, including sketches that premièred at Studio Salford’s Embryo Nights, plus scenes from future plays, including Tuesday’s August Class.
The second half is her Manchester Evening News Award-winning play Moving Pictures – a witty and heartfelt tale of the first meeting of two sisters.

Salford's only new music festival has hosted shows by names like Marina And the Diamonds and The Tings Tings. Founded in 2005, more than 40 new, live acts have performed annually since on the May Bank Holiday weekend, across six, seldom-used venues along Chapel Street.
Last year saw a stage hosted by Radio One's new music... lover, Huw Stephens, with festival appearances by bands spanning the sonic spectrum from Talibam to Mayming, the Lexie Mountain Boys to Whisky Cats, Hooker to Solar Fire Trio.
The twelve-hour-aural-orgy is moving west this year taking in the Kings Arms, Islington Mill, the Salvation Army's music hall, St Philips Church, The Crescent and the Pint Pot's two-tiered venue on the University of Salford Campus. Its bigger than before, with better sound systems and music keeps getting better.
Acts set to appear will be announced soon, and the festival is in the process of applying for a late licence too - making for a Chapel-Street-wide party, from 3pm to 3am.
Tickets for this years event are now on sale and are priced £15!
